Website migrations, replatforming & care
Outgrown Wix, stuck on an aging WordPress theme, or paying for a platform that doesn’t fit? I move sites to whatever is current and best suited to the business, keep every URL, ranking and redirect intact, and then host and maintain the result.
Migrations are where most redesigns lose their search traffic. Mine start with a full crawl of the old site: every page, image, PDF and URL gets mapped to its new home with a permanent redirect, and titles, descriptions, headings and structured data are carried over or improved.
After launch I verify the redirects, submit new sitemaps and watch Search Console for anything that slips. The Ruby Mountain Heli rebuild preserved all 671 of its legacy URLs.
Then the site stays looked after. Ruby Mountain Heli put it best: “Matt makes himself available to us 24/7 as our website host, completing updates, answering our questions and site maintenance as needed.”
A full rebuild for North America’s longest-running family heli-ski operation: booking engine, live seat inventory, Stripe deposits and a decade of in-house photography and film.
A civil engineering firm’s site with a live project map, editable services and projects, and pages that refresh worldwide within a minute of publishing.

“We would give Matt the highest possible recommendation and we wouldn’t want to work with anyone else. Matt is truly a master at his work.”

FAQ
Migrations & care questions
Will I lose my Google rankings if I switch platforms?
Not if the migration is done properly. Every old URL is redirected to its closest new page, metadata and structured data are carried over, and new sitemaps are submitted on launch day. I monitor Search Console afterwards and fix anything that slips.
Which platforms can you migrate between?
Most of them: WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, Webflow, older custom sites and headless CMSs. The destination is whatever suits your business best, not a default.
Do you host and maintain the site afterwards?
Yes, if you want: fast hosting, security, backups, updates and content changes, with one person who knows your site.
