This page explains how Upwind Creative (Matt Bansak, based in Lake Tahoe, California & Nevada) handles personal information on upwindcreative.com. Questions or requests: matt@upwindcreative.com.
What we collect
When you use the contact form
Your name, email address and message, plus anything else you choose to add: business name, current website, phone number, budget range, location and the services you're interested in. We use it to reply to you and to discuss your project. Please don't include sensitive information such as passwords or financial details.
When you email us
Whatever you include in your email, used to reply and to work with you.
Automatically
Like any website, our hosting provider receives standard technical information when you load a page, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested. It is used to deliver the site and keep it secure, not to identify you.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, how people arrive, and whether the contact form or email links are used. It sets first-party cookies (named _ga) and sees your IP address, browser and approximate location. We never send it your name, email address, phone number or message.
The site also includes the Google Ads tag, with advertising cookies and ad personalisation turned off. It doesn't build advertising audiences from your visit. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies are off too.
To opt out of Google Analytics on every site, use Google'sopt-out browser add-on, or block cookies in your browser. The site sets no other cookies and loads no third-party fonts, videos or social-media embeds.
Who handles your information
We share personal information only with the service providers that run the site and deliver your messages:
- Vercel hosts the website (Vercel's privacy policy).
- Web3Forms receives contact-form submissions and forwards them to us by email (Web3Forms' privacy policy).
- Google Workspace hosts our email, where your message and our replies are kept.
- Google Analytics and Google Ads measure site use as described above (Google's privacy policy).
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and correspondence for as long as we need them to respond, to work with you, and for ordinary business records. You can ask us to delete them at any time, unless we must keep something for legal or accounting reasons.
Your choices
Email matt@upwindcreative.com to ask what information we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted. We'll reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law.
Children
This site is for businesses and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and the date above.
